Phần lớn các nước phát triển trong TPP cam kết cắt giảm thuế quan, các hàng rào phi thuế quan đối với hàng hóa cũng như các chính sách hạn chế thương mại với hàng nông thủy sản ngay khi Hiệp định có hiệu lực, ngoại trừ một số mặt hàng sẽ được cắt giảm theo lộ trình. Khi đó các sản phẩm thủy sản của nước ta sẽ có thể dễ dàng xuất khẩu sang các nước trong khối TPP
