Hệ giáo dục việt nam có ba cấp học: tiểu học ,trung học cơ sở,trung học phổ thông.Ở tiểu học, trẻ em bắt đầu học lớp 1 lúc 6 tuổi. Và hoàn thành cấp tiểu học khi chúng học hết lớp 5 vào lúc 10 tuổi. Ở trung học cơ sở, trẻ em bắt đầu học lớp 6 vào lúc 11 tuổi, chúng hoàn thành cấp trung học cơ sở khi học hết lớp 9 vào lúc 14 tuổi. Sau khi hoàn thành 9 năm giáo dục bắt buộc,trẻ em có thể học trung học phổ thông nếu trẻ em chúng thi đậu kì thi tuyển sinh vào lớp 10. Chúng ta sẽ học ở đây cho đến hết lớp 12 vào lúc 17 tuổi. Nếu chúng thi đậu kì thi trung học phổ thông quốc gia vào tháng 6 chúng sẽ học đại học hoặc cao đẳng. Một năm học gồm 9 tháng, được chia thành 35 tuần, bắt đầu từ tháng 9 đến tháng 5. Nó đươc chia thành 2 học kì, kết thúc học kì 1 vào tháng 12 và bắt đầu học kì 2 vào tháng 1.
