Nếu các bạn muốn người khác không thể dòm ngó đến những dữ liệu “tế nhị”, thì có thể lưu chúng vào 1 ổ đĩa riêng (phân vùng) nào đó rồi ẩn ổ đĩa này đi là xong.

Để làm điều này bàn không cần phải sử dụng một phần mềm nào cả mà chỉ cần làm theo các bước dưới đây.

- Đầu tiên, bạn bấm phím phải chuột lên biểu tượng My Computer trên Desktop rồi chọn lệnh Manage trong menu ngữ cảnh.

- Trong cửa sổ Computer Management, bạn tìm tới nhánh Storage > chọn Disk Management ở khung bên trái.

- Tại khung bên phải, bạn bấm phím phải chuột lên ổ đĩa muốn giấu rồi, bạn bấm chuột phải vào tên ổ đĩa và chọn Change Drive Letter and Paths.

- Trong hộp thoại Change Drive Letter and Paths, bạn chọn ổ đĩa rồi bấm nút Remove.

Từ bây giờ, ổ đĩa đó sẽ biến mất trong các chương trình duyệt đĩa (nhưng vẫn hiển thị trong Disk Management) cho đến khi bạn làm nó xuất hiện trở lại bằng cách làm như trên nhưng bấm nút Add trong cửa sổ Change Drive Letter and Paths và chọn lại ký tự đại diện cho ổ đĩa ở dòng Assign the following drive letter trong hộp thoại kế tiếp.
