Người học ngày càng có nhiều nhu cầu tiếp cận với những ngôn ngữ trên khắp thế giới . Không phải ai cũng đạt được kết quả học như mong đợi, vì thế việc nghiên cuứ quá trình tiếp thu ngôn ngữ đã tạo ra được một hướng mới, giúp người học dễ dàng tiếp thu ngôn ngữ.Có nhiều yếu tố đóng góp trong việc lĩnh hội ngôn ngữ tuy nhiên theo tôi có nhiều nhân tố ảnh đóng góp cho sự thành công in quá trình tiếp thu ngôn ngữ (SLA)
Giai đoạn ban đầu là một trong những nhân tố đầu tiên ảnh hưởng đến SLA. Ở giai đoạn này, người học dựa vào the first language (L1) and Universal Grammar để tiếp thu tốt L2 .Cũng có thể thấy rõ rằng giai đoạn ban đầu này phụ thuộc vào khả năng bẩm sinh và khả năng này sẽ thay đổi theo thời gian.
