Thông thường, mỗi năm có 365 ngày. Tuy nhiên cứ 4 năm 1 lần, lại có một năm có 366 ngày.
Một năm lại có 12 tháng. Tháng có 30 ngày và tháng có 31 ngày xen kẽ với nhau. Tuy nhiên, tháng 2 có 28 hoặc 29 ngày.
