Sau 1 năm triển khai thí điểm, lượng điện tiêu thụ làm lạnh tại các doanh nghiệp giảm trung bình là 20-25%.
Thành công tại 4 doanh nghiệp thí điểm đã cho thấy hiệu quả của việc chuyển đổi công nghệ mới. Mô hình này là một ví dụ tốt cho hàng trăm doanh nghiệp chỉ tính riêng trong lĩnh vực chế biến xuất khẩu thuỷ hải sản vẫn đang sử dụng công nghệ R22 tham khảo khi chuyển đổi công nghệ.
Mỗi năm, Việt Nam tiêu thụ trung bình khoảng hơn 3000 tấn HCFC-22 trong sản xuất và dịch vụ điều hòa không khí và làm lạnh. Đến 2020 VN phải loại trừ 35% tổng lượng tiêu thụ các chất HCFC.
Từ năm 2030 đến 2040 Việt Nam được sử dụng trong lĩnh vực dịch vụ, sửa chữa và bảo dưỡng 2,5% mức tiêu thụ.
Đây sẽ là một trong những thách thức đòi hỏi VN phải đẩy mạnh hơn nữa việc chuyển đổi công nghệ cũ sang các công nghệ mới
