Hiện tại, Vinatex – đơn vị nòng cốt và dẫn đầu ngành Dệt May Việt Nam, có đầy đủ các cấu phần cần thiết để tạo lập một chuỗi cung ứng hoàn chỉnh nhưng chưa được tích hợp để hoạt động mô hình kinh doanh ODM. Việc thành lập Công ty Vinatex International là cần thiết nhằm thực hiện chiến lược phát triển của Tập đoàn Dệt May Việt Nam trong giai đoạn hiện nay với mục tiêu xây dựng và phát triển hình thức sản xuất kinh doanh ODM, liên kết chuỗi sản xuất Dệt - Nhuộm - May với các mặt hàng chính như dệt kim, kaki, sơ mi và áo khoác, lấy khâu Dệt - Nhuộm làm nòng cốt để tăng cường khả năng phát triển sản phẩm, sử dụng tối đa nguyên liệu vải tại chỗ để phục vụ sản xuất kinh doanh ODM, cung cấp cho khách hàng giải pháp may mặc trọn gói.
