Đánh giá điều kiện tự nhiên lãnh thổ Thái Nguyên – Tuyên Quang – Bắc Kạn cho mục tiêu phát triển du lịch tham quan là xác định được mức độ thuận lợi ít hay nhiều của từng đơn vị lãnh thổ cho mục đích sử dụng. Bằng phương pháp đánh giá tổng hợp có sự hỗ trợ của công cụ GIS tác giả đã tiến hành đánh giá cho từng tiêu chí và đánh giá chung cho du lịch tham quan; Thành lập được bản đồ đánh giá thể hiện kết quả một cách trực quan, khoa học và tương đối hợp lý. Kết quả đánh giá sẽ là cơ sở để xây dựng các định hướng phát triển du lịch phù hợp nhằm đem lại hiệu quả cao và bền vững.
