Báo cáo tại cuộc họp của Ủy Ban chỉ đạo Trung Ương về giảm nghèo bền vững hôm nay (16/1), Thứ trưởng Bộ Lao động, Thương binh và Xã hội Nguyễn Trọng Đàm cho biết trong năm 2014 tổng nguồn vốn để thực hiện mục tiêu giảm nghèo là khoảng 34,7 nghìn tỷ đồng, trong đó có 30,8 nghìn tỷ là từ ngân sách, và 3,9 nghìn tỷ đồng là từ huy động.
Các chính sách được đua ra để phục vụ mục tiêu này bao gồm khám chữa bệnh cho người nghèo, hỗ trợ tiền cho học sinh nghèo, hỗ trợ đất sản xuất và nước sinh hoạt cho đồng bào dân tộc thiểu số, đào tạo nghề, giải quyết việc làm, xuất khẩu lao động, xây dựng nhà ở, cung cấp tín dụng ưu đãi và hỗ trợ pháp lý cho người nghèo
