This year, we celebrated our club’s 5th birthday on Monday, 16th November. The birthday party took place at Mr. HD 42 Vo Thi Sau – a small and cozy place which is suitable for our getting together. There were balloons of all colors, food and drinks on the table and the typical cute pinky wall, etc.
Time passed by when the room was getting crowded, girls dressed nicely in their beautiful dresses while guys suited up. We were all really exicited about the birthday party and quickly sat down waiting for the show to start.
EC’s 5th birthday party called "Reunion", which was a night to remember for all the members of the EC, since this was an event marking a 5-year-time when we first formed as an official club of Banking Academy and it was the time when we were all together having fun after stressful classes. It was our honour to welcome not only the presence of EC’s active members - from super-old bananas, old bananas to the youngest ones – but also the representatives of student associations, clusters and the other clubs’ members who made there to share great moments with us.
The two beautiful MCs were Thuy Van and Minh Nhat from PR Dept.

Then Ms. Nguyen Ha Mai - the former head of the EC headed on the stage to say something about the club’s party.

Following, our new president - Mr. Nguyen Tien Dat made a short speech.

For opening show was the song performed by the talented and beautiful head of the ER house – Nguyen Yen Nhi.

Next, the talent contest which was brought by 4 departments – 4 poweful houses – began to start. Whichever house received highest votes from the attendants would win the contest. Which house was that? Let’s find out right now!
Firstly, it was the beautiful voices with fully internal force of the Aca House that brought out many emotions to the listeners. The songs were “Where do we go” and … (I don’t remember the other song)

Secondly was the unique repertoire of the HR House “The Cup Song”.

To make the amosphere less intense, we took part in a joyful game called “Let me take a selfie”.

After that we headed to the stage to see the upcoming performance from the ER House.

And last but not least was the mashup dance by the hotties from the PR House! It was the lithe choreography along with the theme song “Worth it” that really had demonstrated the message that they were worthy. And this helped them get the highest number of votes and became the winners of the contest.

Immediately following, we had another chance to participate in the the 2nd game called “Silent music”. There were 3 to 4 teams, 3 people each. Each team chose one member to hear from the tracks with 10-20s / piece. After hearing, the member could not speak but only use hand gestures to describe the song so the remaining 2 members had to guess the song’s name and artist. The more correct songs they got, the more chances of winning they had.

On this special day, we were very delighted to congratulate Phuong Ngoc – our F8 newbie – on reaching her sweet 18th birthday. Wishing you all the great things in life, all the joy you can ever have and may you be blessed abundantly today, tomorrow and the days to come!
And lastly, the moment of EC’s happy birthday cake had come, the most important part of the party had emerged. Mr. Nguyen Tien Dat sent a happy birthday message to our club before having blown out the candles. EC was officially 5 years old!

So the 5th birthday party of the English Club of Banking Academy was come to an end. Despite of the imperfection in organizational procedures, but taken as a whole, all members and guests really had good time and the opportunities to review the EC’s memories, this moment would never be forgotten. EC has always been a family to us, a second home so that the members can live, learn and express themselves in the best way. Happy Birthday EC!
