Tình trạng học sinh sinh viên xuống

Tình trạng học sinh sinh viên xuống cấp về đạo đức và vi phạm pháp luật ngày càng tăng, trong khi chương trình giáo dục lại chưa thể hiện được vai trò của các môn học này.

Ở cấp tiểu học, mỗi tuần học sinh học một tiết đạo đức. Học sinh lớp 3 được dạy bài đạo đức tựa đề “Đoàn kết với thiếu nhi quốc tế”, học sinh lớp 5 học bài “ Tìm hiểu về Liên hợp quốc”. Lên cấp THCS, với 75 bài học từ lớp 6 đến lớp 9, thời lượng cho môn giáo dục công dân cũng chỉ 26 tiết/năm, trong số đó tiết đạo đức chỉ có 12 – 15 tiết. Học sinh lớp 7 học về bộ máy nhà nước cấp cơ sở, học sinh lớp 8 học về quyền sở hữu tài sản, học sinh lớp 9 học về quyền tự do kinh doanh và nghĩa vụ đóng thuế, quyền và nghĩa vụ công dân trong hôn nhân... với nhiều từ khó hiểu, không phù hợp và chưa cần thiết với lứa tuổi 12 – 15.

Ở cấp trung học phổ thông, nghịch lý hơn khi học sinh lớp 11 và 12 không có tiết học đạo đức. Chương trình giáo dục công dân lớp 10 (29 tiết/năm) rất nặng nề về kiến thức hai phần triết học và đạo đức gồm các nội dung trừu tượng, hàn lâm: các phạm trù đạo đức cơ bản, khái niệm và các giá trị đạo đức; vật chất, ý thức, tồn tại xã hội, ý thức xã hội, phương pháp luận biện chứng... Chính điều này làm học sinh thiếu hứng thú và hiện quả giáo dục không cao.
