Qua khảo sát kết quả học tập của học sinh năm học 2012-2013, các môn của học sinh học chương trình giáo dục song ngữ tiếng mẹ đẻ đều vượt trội so với học sinh đại trà, nằm trong khoảng 70-89 điểm, tức là ở khoảng mức Khá, Giỏi theo tiêu chuẩn chung. Ở môn Toán, chỉ số năng lực của học sinh lớp 3 là 89.49 điểm, trong khi lớp 4 đạt 70.97 điểm.

Phương pháp mới cũng tỏ rõ ưu điểm trong việc giúp trẻ dân tộc thiểu số nắm vững tiếng Việt: Năng lực đọc hiểu tiếng Việt ở lớp 3 của các em đạt đến 81.87 điểm; năng lực nghe nói tiếng Việt ở trẻ lớp 4 đạt kết quả giỏi với 93.06 điểm.
