Ngày 17-10, Thứ trưởng Bộ NN&PTNT Lê Quốc Doanh đã ký quyết định tạm ngừng nhập khẩu bột bã ngô từ Hoa Kỳ, đồng thời ký quyết dịnh tạm ngừng nhập khẩu lạc từ Sudan và Hồng Kông. Các quyết định tạm ngừng nhập khẩu này có hiệu lực sau 60 ngày kể từ ngày ký.

Việc tạm nhập khẩu bột bã ngô (Distiller’s dried grains with soluble - DDGS) từ Hoa Kỳ bị tạm ngừng nhập khẩu do bị nhiễm mọt Trogoderma variabile Ballion là đối tượng kiểm dịch thực vật của Việt Nam. Riêng đối với lạc (Arachis hypogaea) từ Sudan và Hồng Kông bị tạm ngừng nhập do bị nhiễm mọt cứng đốt Trogoderma granarium Everts và mọt lạc serratus Caryedon serratus Olivier là đối tượng kiểm dịch thực vật của Việt Nam.

Cùng với hai quyết định trên, Bộ NN&PTNT giao Cục Bảo vệ thực vật kiểm dịch chặt chẽ các lô bột bã ngô nhập khẩu từ Hoa Kỳ; các lô lạc nhập khẩu từ Sudan, Hồng Kông trong thời gian quyết định tạm ngừng chưa có hiệu lực.

Bộ NN&PTNT chính thức thông báo chính thức cho cơ quan có thẩm quyền về kiểm dịch thực vật của Hoa Kỳ, Sudan, Hồng Kông biết để có biện pháp khắc phục triệt để và tổ chức kiểm tra, xác nhận biện pháp khắc phục của Hoa Kỳ, Sudan, Hồng Kông và báo cáo Bộ trưởng Bộ NN&PTNT.
