hi my name is Amelia and this is my story at 22 months old i started to feel very unwell being sick all the time so my mammy and daddy took me to the doctors for an examination and was given some medicine to make me better but a couple of days later I was still unwell so I was taken to our local hospital where thay tested me for nasty stomach bug's but still no explanation so was sent for a scan and there thay found the tumour in the back of my brain.

I was rushed by ambulance to the Noahs ark hospital in Cardiff where I was taken straight to owl ward and then down for a ct scan where it showed that my tumour was covering the whole back of my brain I was given surgery to remove it but the surgeon could only get 90% of it due to it being so close to vital blood vessels and was taken to intensive care unit for a couple of days.

we had the results a week later and told that the tumour was a rare nasty cancer known as (AT/RT) which is an aggressive fast growing cancer that is found only in children and that chemotherapy was the only option for me because of my age so had a Hickman line put in as well as a shunt to take the pressure away from my head but could not start chemotherapy because of my temperature,infection and fits so everything on hold.

And then finally after 6 weeks I have started my chemotherapy and am receiving it slowly over the course of 2days on 2weeks off for a full year to hopefully help me get home with my mammy,daddy ,sisters and brother cancer free thank you so much for reading this and any donation big or small will help me get essentially things I need to lead a normal life xxx.
