-là hành vi của người bị ký phát cam kết thanh toán hối phiếu khi đến hạn
-xuất trình hối phiếu để chấp nhận: trực tiếp hoặc gửi thư đảm bảo
-cần thiết đối với hồi phiếu có kì hạn
-chấp nhận là vô điều kiện
-chấp nhận một phần tiền ghi trên hối phiếu
đối với hối phiếu có kỳ hạn sau X ngày kể từ ngày nhìn thấy ( ngày chấp nhận hối phiếu ) phải ghi rõ ngày tháng chấp nhận

Ký hậu hối phiếu:
- là thủ tục chuyển nhượng quyền sở hữu hối phiếu từ người hưởng lợi này sang người hưởng lợi khác
- việc ký hậu mang tính trừu tượng và vô điều kiện
- Xác định trách nhiệm của người ký hậu về việc trả tiền hối phiếu đối với những người hưởng lợi hối phiếu đó.
