Khi mở L/C, người mua phải ký quỹ m

Khi mở L/C, người mua phải ký quỹ một số tiền tại ngân hàng (có thể lên đến 100% giá trị L/C). L/C không phải là phương thức thanh toán an toàn tuyệt đối vì ngân hàng chỉ làm việc trên chứng từ chứ không xét đến chất lượng hàng hoá. Bộ chứng từ đề nghị thanh toán L/C do các bên thoả thuận. Người bán phải cung cấp đầy đủ các chứng từ và phải phù hợp với L/C thì mới được thanh toán.
