Ơn giời cậu đây rồi! là phiên bản tiếng Việt của chương trình nổi tiếng Thank God You're Here của Úc. Cuộc thi được tổ chức bởi công ty Đông Tây Promotion nơi chuyên sản xuất các chương trình truyền hình, quản lý dự án và tổ chức sự kiện.
Chương trình được phát sóng từ ngày 11 tháng 10 năm 2014 trên VTV3.Và có sự tham gia của nghệ sĩ Xuân Bắc với vai trò dẫn chương trình và nghệ sĩ Hoài Linh là ban giám khảo. Người chơi phải giành chiến thắng bằng cách vượt qua thử thách trong 5 căn phòng "bí mật" của chương trình. Đây là show hài thực tế đạt tỷ suất người xem cao và nhận được sự yêu mến rộng khắp của công chúng với ba giải Mai Vàng cùng 7 đề cử khác ở cùng giải thưởng.
Tính tới nay, trò chơi thực tế này đã được phát sóng hoàn thiện hai mùa. Mùa thứ ba vẫn đang phát sóng trên kênh vtv3. Đây là cuộc thi dành cho những người nghệ sĩ nổi tiếng muốn thử sức trong lĩnh vực hài kịch.
Đến với Ơn giời cậu đây rồi, các nghệ sĩ tham gia phải thể hiện khả năng ứng biến trên sân khấu khi tham gia vào một vở kịch mà không hề biết trước kịch bản. Thứ duy nhất mà họ biết trước là bộ phục trang mà họ sẽ mặc khi diễn trên sân khấu.
Khi bước vào sân khấu qua một cánh cửa, các nghệ sĩ được chào bằng một biến thể của câu "Ơn giời!cậu đây rồi!" từ các diễn viên trên sân khấu. Trưởng phòng và các diễn viên phụ trong phòng thử thách tài ứng biến của nghệ sĩ bằng cách hướng họ theo một kịch bản mở với những ý tưởng có sẵn đồng thời cùng diễn với họ để tạo ra những pha hài hước trên sân khấu. Các vở kịch kéo dài không có kết thúc, chúng chỉ dừng khi giám khảo Hoài Linh nhấn chuông. Mỗi thí sinh tham gia vào một vở kịch được thiết kế trong một "căn phòng" và cuối cùng 4 thí sinh sẽ thi chung trong phòng số 5 với trưởng phòng Hoài Linh.
Sau khi năm căn phòng được chinh phục, Hoài Linh sẽ chọn ra một người chiến thắng. Nghệ sĩ chiến thắng sẽ được trao một cúp lưu niệm của chương trình.
