Từ lâu, sinh viên tốt nghiệp ra trường và bài toán việc làm đã không còn là câu chuyện riêng của bản thân người trong cuộc mà đã trở thành bài toán làm đau đầu các chuyên gia, các nhà quản lý. Và cho đến bao giờ vấn đề việc làm không còn là gánh nặng của sinh viên sau những năm miệt mài đèn sách dường như vẫn còn là một câu hỏi chưa có lời đáp.
Để khắc phục tình trạng thất nghiệp của sinh viên như hiện nay, cần sự đồng thuận, chung tay của các cấp ban ngành trong xã hội. Việc chỉ đạo đẩy mạnh công tác đào tạo nghề nhằm đáp ứng nhu cầu của xã hội, gắn đào tạo nghề với việc làm là một trong những vấn đề hết sức quan trọng và cần thiết. Cần đẩy nhanh xã hội hóa công tác dạy nghề. Đặc biệt, cần có sự tư vấn định hướng nghề nghiệp cho học sinh, sinh viên để các em có lựa chọn phù hợp cả đầu vào lẫn đầu ra sau này.
Cùng với đó, cần phải coi trọng quá trình đào tạo sinh viên trong thời gian học tập tại trường. Làm thế nào để sau khi tốt nghiệp, bên cạnh chất lượng chuyên môn, các em còn có những kỹ năng cần thiết, trình độ tin học, ngoại ngữ… nhằm đáp ứng được yêu cầu, đòi hỏi của nhà tuyển dụng.
