Hai người bác sĩ, hai cách chữa bệnh khác nhau tuy nhiên họ đều đem lại cho người xem cảm giác ấm áp. Patch Adams đem lại cho bệnh nhân cảm giác gần gũi, thân thiện và thoải mái. Cách chữa bệnh của ông dựa vào sự hài hước, vì vậy phòng khám của ông luôn tràn ngập tiếng cười.
Trong khi đó, Dr.House đem lại cảm giác khó chịu, khó gần cho bệnh nhân, thậm chí là mộ chút đáng ghét. Họ không biết rằng, ông chính là người quan tâm tới bệnh tình của họ nhất.
