- Mặt cầu bêtông ximăng có tuổi thọ khoảng 50÷60 năm (cao hơn mặt cầu bằng bêtông
Asphalt) và ít bị hao mòn do đó giảm chi phí duy tu bảo dưỡng.
- Mặt cầu bằng BTXM có khả năng chống thấm tốt.
- Mặt đường không êm thuận cho xe chạy, gây ra lực xung kích và tiếng ồn lớn khi có xe
chạy qua cầu.
- Giá thành đắt hơn mặt cầu bằng bêtông Asphalt.
- Hiện nay mặt cầu bằng BTXM ít được áp dụng.
4.1.1.3. Mặt cầu bằng thép:
Trong cầu thép, đểgiảm tĩnh tải mặt cầu có thể cấu tạo mặt cầu bằng thép.
