Nghiên cứu mô tả cắt ngang sử dụng phương pháp nghiên cứu định lượng thông qua phỏng vấn bằng bộ phiếu với 1000 hộ gia đình tại 4 xã Sơn An, Sơn Hoà, Sơn Thịnh và Sơn Tiến thuộc huyện Hương Sơn tỉnh Hà Tĩnh. Kết quả cho thấy: có 55,8% người dân mong muốn được chữa bệnh/nâng cao sức khoẻ bằng YHCT và 33,8% muốn được sử dụng nhiều thuốc YHCT hơn nữa; 52,4% muốn được trồng thuốc nam ở nhà và 52,4% muốn được nói chuyện về YHCT. Nhìn chung, người dân ở xã Sơn Thịnh có nhu cầu sử dụng thuốc YHCT thấp hơn so với 3 xã còn lại. Địa điểm người dân muốn đến KCB bằng y học cổ truyền chủ yếu là tại TYT xã (33,2%), ngoài ra có 14,5% muốn đến ông lang bà mế và 11,9% đến y tế tư nhân. Từ các kết quả này cho thấy cần đẩy mạnh các hoạt động truyền thông để người dân nhận thức được lợi ích của phương pháp điều trị bằng YHCT nói chung và bằng thuốc YHCT nói riêng để từ đó thúc đẩy nhu cầu và sử dụng YHCT trong điều trị bệnh của người dân, đặc biệt là tại xã Sơn Thịnh. Bên cạnh đó, cần tăng cường năng lực cung cấp dịch vụ y tế nói chung và dịch vụ điều trị bằng thuốc YHCT nói riêng đối với các CSYT nhà nước, trong đó quan tâm trước tiên đến BVĐK huyện và các TYT xã trên địa bàn huyện.

Cross-sectional descriptive study using quantitative research through interviews with the patterns of 1000 households in four communes Son An, Son Hoa, Son and Son Tien Thinh Huong Son district, Ha Tinh province. Results showed that 55.8% of people desire to cure / improve their health with traditional medicine and 33.8% would be used much more traditional drugs; 52.4% want to be a medicinal plant and 52.4% at home want to talk about traditional medicine. In general, people in need of social SonThinh use traditional drugs is lower than 3 other communes. Location of people want to KCB in traditional medicine mainly in the CHS (33.2%), in addition to his 14.5% want sweet mothers and 11.9% to private healthcare. From these results indicate a need to promote communication activities so that people are aware of the benefits of treatment with traditional medicine in general and in particular to traditional drugs which boost demand and use in traditional medicine treatment of people, especially in Son Thinh. Besides, the need to strengthen the capacity to provide health services in general and services of traditional drug therapy in particular for the state health services, which primarily concerns the district general hospital and the locality CHS district.
