NXB Kim Đồng viết bộ sách BÉ BẢO VỆ ĐỘNG VẬT (15 cuốn) gồm các câu chuyện lí thú và cảm động về các loài vật trong thiên nhiên hoang dã như: hổ, báo, gấu, voi... và cả các loài vật gần gũi với con người như: chó, mèo, gà, vịt... cho đến các loài chim... Các câu chuyện được kể bởi tác giả Nguyễn Thu Ngân - một người đã có nhiều năm kinh nghiệm làm việc trong Vườn thú Hà Nội; cùng với tranh minh hoạ sinh động, giàu màu sắc của hoạ sĩ Phùng Duy Tùng.
