Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP-Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) is a protocol for automatic configuration of IP addresses. The computer is configured automatically, thus reducing the interference in the network. It provides a central database to track all the computers in the network. The most important purpose is to avoid two different computers with the same IP address.If there is no DHCP SERVER, the IP can be configured manually in addition to providing DHCP, IP address and other configuration information, such as specific DNS. DHCP is currently have 2 version: for IPv4 and IPv6.
