* Palazzo Dario trên kênh Lớn trong mắt dân bản địa là “ngôi nhà bị nguyền rủa” không chỉ của Venice mà cả nước Ý.

Từ khi được xây dựng vào năm 1487, những người sở hữu lâu đài này đều có cái chết đau đớn. Và trong hàng chục năm qua, một loạt vụ giết người, tự tử, những tai nạn bí ẩn liên tiếp diễn ra tại Palazzo Dario.

Vụ gần đây nhất là năm 1993, người chủ lâu đài đã bắn vào đầu tự sát trong phòng riêng khi được cho liên quan đến tham nhũng. Từ thời điểm đó, ban quản lý lâu đài luôn khổ công tìm người mua.

Woody Allen, một đạo diễn lừng lẫy của Hollywood, từng có ý định mua Palazzo Dario nhưng rồi không thể vượt qua những nỗi ám ảnh có quá nhiều bóng ma chủ sở hữu trước trong lâu đài nên vụ mua bán bất thành.

Với một “hồ sơ đen” dày cộm, giờ đây nhiều du khách tò mò tìm đến Palazzo Dario để ngắm lâu đài tráng lệ này… từ xa! Palazzo Dario chỉ mở cửa cho khách tham quan trong những lần triển lãm nghệ thuật diễn ra trong năm tại Venice.

* Poveglia, hòn đảo không thanh thản bởi được cho còn nhiều linh hồn vất vưởng lang thang khắp đảo khi đêm xuống. Đây từng là nơi cách ly và chôn cất hơn 160.000 người bệnh dịch hạch ở Venice. Và những bệnh nhân tại một bệnh viện tâm thần xây dựng trên đảo đã không ngừng than phiền họ bị… ma ám!

Tuy nhiên nhà sử học kiêm tiểu thuyết gia địa phương Davide Busato cho rằng không có bệnh viện tâm thần trên đảo mà chỉ có nơi cách ly các bệnh nhân trong mùa dịch, sau đó trở thành một trung tâm điều dưỡng và nhà dưỡng lão trước khi bị bỏ hoang vào năm 1968.

Poveglia trải qua nhiều đời chủ nhưng tất cả đều tháo chạy trước những hiện tượng bí ẩn xảy ra trên đảo.

Hiện nơi đây rất hoang vắng khi ngay cả ngư phủ cũng không muốn đến đảo. Gần đây, dân địa phương đến đảo trồng rau màu hay trồng nho vào ban ngày và một ít du khách hiếu kỳ muốn khám phá khung cảnh ma mị nơi đây.

Du khách chỉ được đến Poveglia vào mùa thu hoạch nông sản trên đảo.
