Thiết kế nên chú trọng vào sự nhận thức của người dùng để có thể cung cấp các thông tin một cách chính xác nhất. Sử dụng các loại bố cục và các màu sắc để thể hiện các thông tin cần truyền đạt trên màn hình sẽ giúp người dùng có được sự nhận thức và quá trình trải nghiệm chúng một cách tốt hơn.

Người dùng có một số thói quen về nhận thức như: màu xanh sẽ cung cấp cho người dùng các nhận thức về sự thành công hoặc sự cho phép, màu đỏ thì ngược lại, người dùng sẽ nhận thấy màu đó là màu thể hiện cho việc mang tính chất hủy bỏ hay cấm
