Bên trong Bưu điện là hệ thống những mái vòm cong lớn sát. Các vòm lớn trong tòa nhà được chống đỡ bởi 4 kèo sắt tỏa ra bốn phía, các điểm tiếp nối của các kèo sắt được trang trí chạm trổ tinh xảo. Trên vòm mái tiền sảnh của bưu điện còn có 2 tấm bản đồ lớn nói về lịch sử thiết lập hệ thống viễn thông Sài Gòn. Cụ thể: tấm bên phải là bản đồ Sài Gòn và các vùng lân cận năm 1892, tấm bên trái là bản đồ đường dây điện của Việt Nam và Campuchia năm 1936.
