Để thực hiện định hướng “đào tạo theo nhu cầu của xã hội”, môn Trò chơi vận động trong chương trình đào tạo giáo viên thể dục của Trường Đại học Sư Phạm Thể dục thể thao Tp. Hồ Chí Minh tập trung nghiên cứu nhằm cải tiến nội dung sao cho phù hợp với nội dung chương trình giảng dạy thể dục ở phổ thông. Kết quả nghiên cứu đã xác định hiệu quả của mội dung chương trình cải tiến môn trò chơi vận động của Trường Đại học Sư Phạm Thể dục thể thao Tp. Hồ Chí Minh.
