Bộ Giáo dục và Đào tạo đã thông báo sẽ dừng đào tạo 207 ngành trình độ đại học của 71 cơ sở đào tạo từ năm 2014 do không đáp ứng điều kiện quy định. Trường hợp có thể khắc phục được nguyên nhân dẫn đến đình chỉ, các cơ sở đào tạo báo cáo Bộ để được xem xét cho phép tuyển sinh trở lại. Bên cạnh đó, một số ngành chưa đáp ứng điều kiện đã nêu nhưng thuộc diện đặc biệt sẽ được xử lý riêng.
