Bài viết đề cập đến tình hình thực tiễn về chất lượng đào tạo ngành Công nghệ may hệ cao đẳng tại trường đại học Sư Phạm Kỹ Thuật thành phố Hồ Chí Minh; trên cơ sở đó đề xuất 8 giải pháp và các ý kiến đánh giá về tính khả thi của các giải pháp đề ra. 8 giải pháp được đề xuất là: Phát triển mô hình nhà trường – doanh nghiệp; Mở rộng quan hệ với các doanh nghiệp qua nguồn cựu sinh viên; Đầu tư, nâng cấp và bổ sung cơ sở vật chất kỹ thuật, trang thiết bị đào tạo nhằm đảm bảo chất lượng đào tạo; Nâng cao năng lực giảng viên; Tổ chức dịch vụ hỗ trợ việc làm và đào tạo nâng cao cho sinh viên sau khi tốt nghiệp; Phát triển hợp tác quốc tế; Đổi mới phương pháp học tập của sinh viên; Định hướng nghề nghiệp cho sinh viên trong quá trình đào tạo.
Kết quả nghiên cứu được thực hiện dựa trên cuộc khảo sát sinh viên, cựu sinh viên, giảng viên và các doanh nghiệp trong ngành. Kết quả khảo sát tính khả thi dựa trên ý kiến của giảng viên ngành Công nghệ may.
Kết quả nghiên cứu cho thấy chất lượng đào tạo ngành Công nghệ may hệ cao đẳng tại trường đại học Sư Phạm Kỹ Thuật thành phố Hồ Chí Minh hiện nay vẫn còn tồn tại nhiều hạn chế như cơ sở vật chất còn chưa tốt, phương pháp giảng dạy còn chưa lôi cuốn, định hướng nghề nghiệp cho sinh viên còn yếu kém,…Tất cả các giải pháp đưa ra đều được đánh giá cao về tính khả thi và hiệu quả khi áp dụng vào thực tế tại cơ sở đào tạo.
