Các sản phẩm được chế biến từ dừa hiện nay rất phong phú và có nhiều cơ hội cho công nghiệp dừa Việt Nam phát triển thông qua chế biến, đa dạng hóa sản phẩm. Các mặt hàng than gáo dừa, chỉ xơ dừa, cơm dừa nạo sấy, các sản phẩm thủ công mỹ nghệ từ dừa… góp phần giải quyết việc làm cho hàng vạn lao động, tận dụng thời gian nông nhàn và giải quyết lao động dư thừa ở nông thôn, gia tăng thu nhập cho người trồng dừa, và góp phần xóa đói giảm nghèo, đồng thời góp phần cung cấp một phần thực phẩm và hàng tiêu dùng cho nhu cầu tại chỗ.
