Theo điều tra của các chuyên gia bò sữa Việt Nam, lợi nhuận kinh doanh từ sữa, tùy từng chủng loại, có thể lên tới vài chục phần trăm. Thuế nhập khẩu sữa của ta đang áp dụng chỉ từ 10-15% tùy từng mặt hàng. Các hãng sữa nước ngoài luôn tìm đủ lý do để tăng giá.

Trong cuộc trao đổi gần đây với PV, ông Nguyễn Tuấn Khải, Phó Chủ tịch Hiệp hội Sữa Việt Nam, cho biết với mức thu mua sữa tươi từ người nuôi bò hiện nay phổ biến ở mức 13.500 -14.000 đồng/kg, nông dân có mức lãi gần 50%. Còn nếu mua ở mức 11.500 đồng, nông dân lãi gần 40%, (mức lãi trồng lúa chỉ là 30%).
