Dmitry Peskov, phát ngôn viên Điện Kremlin, hôm nay cho biết Tổng thống Nga Vladimir Putin không có kế hoạch gặp người đồng cấp Thổ Nhĩ Kỳ Tayyip Erdogan tại hội nghị thượng đỉnh về khí hậu ở Paris. Reuters dẫn lời ông Peskov cho hay Tổng thống Putin nhiều khả năng sẽ thảo luận với Tổng thống Mỹ Barack Obama bên lề hội nghị.

Thổ Nhĩ Kỳ trước đó đề xuất về cuộc gặp giữa hai tổng thống nhằm giảm căng thẳng sau khi máy bay Nga bị bắn rơi gần biên giới Syria. Dù ông Erdogan nhiều lần đề nghị thảo luận với ông Putin, Moscow vẫn tẩy chay Ankara và hy vọng Thổ Nhĩ Kỳ xin lỗi. Tuy nhiên, ông Erdogan đến nay chỉ lấy làm tiếc về vụ việc.

"Chúng tôi thực sự rất buồn vì sự cố này. Chúng tôi không muốn điều như thế này xảy ra nhưng thật không may, nó đã xảy ra. Tôi hy vọng điều tương tự sẽ không lặp lại", ông Erdogan nói trước khi tới Paris. "Hội nghị thượng đỉnh khí hậu quốc tế tại Paris sẽ đem đến cơ hội để sửa chữa quan hệ của chúng tôi với Nga. Đối đầu sẽ chẳng làm ai vui. Nga quan trọng với Thổ Nhĩ Kỳ thế nào thì Thổ Nhĩ Kỳ cũng quan trọng với Nga như thế".

Trước khi lên đường tới Paris tham gia hội nghị, ông Putin ký sắc lệnh trừng phạt kinh tế đặc biệt với Thổ Nhĩ Kỳ.
