Lean manufacturing is a system of tools and methods focusing on the elimination of waste or inefficiency in production. Specifically, this system focuses primarily on seven main types of waste: shipping, inventory, work operations, the waiting and processing waste, overproduction and defects (defects) of the product. Lean production being effectively implemented, it will bring great benefits to the enterprise, such as increasing competitiveness through increased ability to serve, enhance customer satisfaction and reduce the costs during operation. For Vietnam, the enterprise effectively deploy a lean production system becomes critical needs and survival during the economic crisis today. Like many local businesses, businesses in the timber sector is facing problems to meet customer demand and the waste problem.
In this thesis, presented a case to apply the tool balance lean angles and design work to pass Veneer, Wood JSC Tran Duc. Thesis is done over a period of 4 months with the following contents:
- Analyze and eliminate redundant operations, conducted rationalize and standardize workstations manipulation of workers.
- Developing norms accurate standard time for the cluster boards cabinet surface.
- Rebalancing ball to increase productivity and reduce costs in volleyball.
- Conducting analysis and improvement suggestions for further improvement in the operational efficiency of volleyball , perform testing and deployment of the proposed adjustment.
After conducting research, writing has achieved some results, such as increased productivity of veneer from 273 to pass 393 sheets / day, down by one of staff, implement standardized operations for workers and work stations are arranged logically. These results provide the basis for widely applicable for the remaining areas.
