Cũng theo Bộ Kế hoạch và Đầu tư, riêng trong quý I/2014, các KCN đã thu hút 70 dự án FDI, với tổng số vốn đầu tư lên đến 800 triệu USD. Riêng Tập đoàn Triple Eye Infrastructure (Canada) đầu tư Dự án bệnh viện quốc tế tại KCN Đại An (Hải Dương) đã chiếm 225 triệu USD và là nhà đầu tư có dự án quy mô lớn nhất vào các KCN trong quý I năm nay.

Hệ thống KCN còn góp phần hiện đại hóa hệ thống cơ sở vật chất hạ tầng, đơn giản hóa thủ tục hành chính, tạo ra một môi trường đầu tư thông thoáng, phù hợp hơn với thông lệ quốc tế, đồng thời, góp phần củng cố an ninh, quốc phòng.
