Đối với môn học Ngân hàng phát triển (development banking), chúng em mới chỉ tiếp cận trên cơ sở tài chính của dự án, trong đó tập trung tính các chỉ tiêu bao gồm net present value hay IRR, PE… phục vụ cho thẩm định của các ngân hàng thương mại hay ngân hàng phát triển việt nam (Vietnam development bank) hay ngân hàng chính sách xã hội. Ngoài ra, một số chỉ tiêu khác như thời gian hoàn vốn của dự án, khả năng trả nợ hay thẩm định tài sản đảm bảo cũng được quan tâm. Tuy nhiên, một vấn đề đặt ra là thực tế các dự án rất phức tạp và nhiều bộ phận cùng tham gia. Chu trình của dự án, trong đó tập trung vào giai đoạn nghiên cứu thị trường, nghiên cứu sản phẩm và nghiên cứu đầu ra cho em biết cụ thể dự án là thế nào, cần những bước nào, có những dự án nào do các cơ quan nào thực hiện. Chính xác hơn, thầy còn gửi cho em qua email dự án hiện đại hóa hệ thống máy tính trường đại học Kinh tế Quốc dân do UNDP tài trợ. Việc này phù hợp với quá trình giảng dạy và nghiên cứu của bản thân em và với sinh viên. Ngoài ra, dựa trên dự án của thầy, em cũng đã tìm được 1 số dự án khác như chương trình trồng mới 5 triệu hecta rừng (bản báo cáo của Ngân hàng chính sách xã hội Việt Nam) hay một số dự án khác (dự án đóng mới tàu biển, báo cáo đồng tài trợ của Ngân hàng Nông nghiệp và Phát triển Nông thôn Việt Nam và ngân hàng Phát triển Việt Nam, chi nhánh Thái Bình). Cũng trong quá trình tìm hiểu chu trình dự án, một số hoạt động không phù hợp đã được tìm thấy trong khi giải ngân của ngân hàng. Cuối cùng, việc phân tích dữ liệu cũng như tìm dữ liệu đã đảm bảo được tính an toàn và sinh lời cho phân tích ngành ngân hàng (chủ yếu cung cấp thông tin cho sinh viên sau khi ra trường trả lời phỏng vấn) trong việc đảm bảo ngân hàng thu đủ bù chi, cũng như giảm thiểu rủi ro khi khách hàng không trả đúng và đầy đủ công nợ.
