TBệnh viện Ung Bướu thành phố Hồ Chí Minh (TP. HCM), mỗi năm có hơn 1000 trường hợp UTCTC mới nhập viện và điều trị, gần phân nửa số này là ở giai đoạn sớm.
Chương trình tầm soát UTCTC được mở rộng, nhờ đó phát hiện sớm các trường hợp UTCTC trong cộng đồng. Ngày nay, những tiên tiến trong phương pháp phẫu thuật, kèm kỹ thuật gây mê, và chăm sóc hậu phẫu đã làm giảm đáng kể tỷ lệ tử vong và người bệnh có thể sống được nhiều năm sau phẫu thuật [12]

UTCTC screening was expanded, so that early detection of cases of UTCTC in the community. Today, the advances in surgery, anaesthesia, technique tutorials and post-operative care have dramatically reduced the death rate and the disease can survive for many years after surgery [12]
