From May 1962 and January 1964, 13 women, mostly elderly, were strangled to death in their home in Boston. It is believed that all the murders were done by one person, who was named the Boston squeezed. Those suspected of Boston squeeze, but who has never been convicted, is Albert DeSalvo, a strange man with a criminal history of retail. There are many questions about whether DeSalvo was killer of all 13 women. He has never been tried for the crime; he was killed by an unknown attacker in jail while awaiting trial. Before his death, he confessed to all 13 murders and then recanted. He only binds to the DNA to the final victims in 2013, 50 years after the crime took place, which means he most likely responsible for at least one murder. Although DeSalvo kill everyone women or not remains controversial. What is known is DeSalvo is an interesting character. Like many other serial killers, he had a tough upbringing, and as an adult has been strong, strange impulse. In the film The Boston squeeze, which was released four years after the death of DeSalvo, he was played by Tony Curtis. Curtis attracted a Golden Globe nomination for the role.
