Kể từ khi gia nhập WTO đầu năm 2007, Việt Nam đã đạt được nhiều thành tựu trong việc phát triển kinh tế, nâng cao đời sống của người dân, ổn định việc làm, và nhiều thành tựu trên nhiều lĩnh vực khác. Tuy nhiên, bên cạnh những thành tựu thì vẫn còn những bất cập mà nước ta đang gặp phải, như là giá cả tăng cao, thiếu hụt về nguyên vật liệu do ảnh hưởng thế giới, nền kinh tế phát triển chưa đồng bộ với cơ sở hạ tầng, v.v…
