Đồng thời, trồng RAT còn giúp người dân giảm chi phí đầu tư, và đảm bảo được sức khỏe.

Đặc biệt, phương pháp phủ rơm rạ trên luống rau không chỉ giúp giữ độ ẩm, hạn chế cỏ mọc và côn trùng gây hại, mà còn tránh xói mòn đất vì địa hình dốc, giúp giữ chất dinh dưỡng cho cây phát triển nhanh, chống được tác động xấu của thời tiết đối với rau.
