(About the review, please investigate the application of safeguard measures against Steel goods according to the decision of 14296/QD-BCT on 25/12/2015 of the Minister of industry and trade can cause negative effects to the development of the steel industry)

Dear Sir, we would like to suggest the urgent Gentlemen consider an issue that may cause serious negative impact to the development of the steel industry in Vietnam and many implications impact on the socio-economic life, the interests of consumers as well as the interests of the country led many steel enterprises interested , pressing, specifically as follows:
On 25/12/2015, Minister of industry and trade – decision of 14296/QD-BCT v/v: investigation of applying safeguard measures against steel and steel items imported to Vietnam long after getting the menu suggested by the Group of 10 companies including: Hoa Phat Steel Corporation (Hoa Phat Steel) the steel company, Southern Company, Thai Nguyen iron and steel and steel joint stock company (hereinafter call is "suggested") in which the rising tax up 45% to 33% and billet with long steel imported into Vietnam. At the same time the proposal before the official decision to apply safeguard measures shall apply temporary tariffs as in 200 days.
Safeguard measures (Safeguard) is temporary import restrictions for one or some of the goods when the importer they rose rapidly to cause or threaten to cause serious damage to the domestic industry. Each of the Member countries of the World Trade Organization (WTO) have the right to apply safeguard measures, but when applied, they must ensure compliance with the provisions of the WTO (about conditions, procedures, how to apply self measure
