 Khi trạng thái thanh khoản ròng dương (NLPt > 0),, tức ngân hàng đang trong trạng thái thặng dư thanh khoản (Liquidity Surplus), thừa vốn để hoạt động.
 Khi trạng thái thanh khoản ròng âm (NLPt < 0) tức ngân hàng đang trong trạng thái thâm hụt thanh khoản (Liquidity Deficit), thiếu vốn để hoạt động.
