Tối 20/2, UBND huyện Hưng Hà (Thái Bình) đã tổ chức khai mạc lễ hội đền Trần Thái Bình năm 2016 tại di tích Quốc gia đặc biệt Khu lăng mộ và đền thờ các vị Vua triều Trần, xã Tiến Đức, huyện Hưng Hà.

Dự lễ có các đồng chí Ủy viên Bộ Chính trị Trần Quốc Vượng, Chủ nhiệm Ủy ban Kiểm tra Trung ương, đồng chí Vũ Văn Ninh, Phó Thủ tướng Chính phủ; cùng lãnh đạo các bộ ngành, lãnh đạo các sở ban ngành trong tỉnh và một số lãnh đạo các UBND huyện của các tỉnh lân cận...

Theo sử sách, vùng đất Long Hưng – Ngự Thiện, nay là huyện Hưng Hà, tỉnh Thái Bình là đất phát tích và dựng nghiệp của nhà Trần ở đầu thế kỷ thứ 13.

Đây là vương triều cường thịnh bậc nhất bậc nhất trong các triều đại phong kiến Việt Nam. Cả ba lần kháng chiến chống quân Nguyên Mông xâm lược, vùng đất Long Hưng đều được nhà Trần tin cẩn chọn làm căn cứ xây dựng hành cung Lỗ Giang và cung điện của triều đình, trở thành hậu phương vững chắc, tập hợp quân sĩ, chuẩn bị vũ khí, lương thảo và tổ chức các đại lễ bái yết tổ tiên.

Tại buổi lễ, được sự ủy quyền của Thủ tướng Chính phủ, phó Thủ tướng Chính phủ Vũ Văn Ninh trao Bằng công nhận huyện đạt chuẩn nông thôn mới cho huyện Hưng Hà, tỉnh Thái Bình.

Phát biểu tại buổi lễ, Chủ tịch UBND tỉnh Thái Bình Nguyễn Hồng Diên đã đề nghị Huyện Hưng Hà cần tiếp tục khơi dậy và phát huy giá trị văn hóa, văn hiến của vùng đất địa linh nhân kiệt, hào khí Đông A lẫy lừng quật khởi và truyền thống cách mạng, để thúc đẩy phát triển toàn diện các lĩnh vực kinh tế - xã hội, giữ vững quốc phòng an ninh xây dựng Đảng, hệ thống chính trị vững mạnh. Trong đó, cần tập trung thực hiện thật tốt 5 giải pháp nhiệm vụ trọng tâm và 3 đột phá chiến lược để phát triển kinh tế theo Nghị quyết Đại hội Đảng bộ tỉnh lần thứ XIX đề ra, góp phần cùng cả tỉnh thực hiện thắng lợi và toàn diện Nghị quyết Đại hội toàn quốc lần thứ XII của Đảng. Xây dựng Hưng Hà ngày càng giàu đẹp văn minh xứng đáng là đất phát tích khởi nghiệp của triều đại nhà Trần.

Tập trung chỉ đạo triển khai có hiệu quả các chương trình kế hoạch đề án cụ thể để tiếp tục đầu tư tôn tạo giữ gìn khu di tích lịch sử Quốc gia đặc biệt Đền thờ và lăng mộ các vua Trần, Hành cung Lỗ Giang và các di tich lịch sử văn hóa khác trên địa bàn, nhằm phát huy tốt hơn giá trị văn hóa các khu di tích, góp phần giáo dục các thế hệ hôm nay và mai sau về lòng tự hào, tự tôn dân tộc và nét đẹp truyền thống vinh quang của quê hương qua di tích lịch sử mà Hưng Hà có vinh dự là địa phương được bảo tồn và lưu giữ.
