Hiện nay các công ty kiểm toán độc lập tại Việt Nam đang gặp phải nhiều vấn đề khó khăn khiến cho hoạt động kiểm toán chưa thực sự xứng đáng với tầm quan trọng của nó. Do đó, đã đến lúc nhà nước cần phát huy cao độ vai trò điều tiết kinh tế vĩ mô, đề ra những giải pháp nhằm nâng cao chất lượng dịch vụ kiểm toán thông qua các chính sách hướng vào các vấn đề sau:
