Trong khu vực doanh nghiệp, sự phát triển của các doanh nghiệp đóng góp vào sự tăng trưởng của năng suất lao động. Bên cạnh đó, sự chuyển dịch cơ cấu lao động theo ngành cũng tạo ra sự thay đổi về năng suất lao động. Chúng ta cần biết rõ nội bộ các ngành đóng góp bao nhiêu, và sự dịch chuyển cơ cấu lao động theo ngành trong khu vực doanh nghiệp đóng góp bao nhiêu vào sự tăng trưởng năng suất lao động. Từ đó, chúng ta có căn cứ đánh giá sự phát triển của từng ngành và đánh giá được những chính sách hỗ liên quan tới việc thúc đẩy dịch chuyển lao động theo hướng công nghiệp hóa, hiện đại hóa. Hiện nay chưa có nghiên cứu nào ở Việt Nam tìm hiểu về vấn đề này. Vì vậy, việc nghiên cứu đề tài “Đánh giá đóng góp của các ngành kinh tế và dịch chuyển cơ cấu lao động theo ngành tới tăng trưởng năng suất lao động trong khu vực doanh nghiệp tại Việt Nam” là cần thiết.
