Georgetown là một trong những khu phố cổ nhất nhưng giàu nhất Washington. Nó ra đời năm 1751.

Với những con phố hẹp, rợp bóng cây, những tòa nhà lớn nằm trễm trệ trên các tháp pháo và cả những ngôi nhà nhỏ xinh xắn với gam màu sống động... Người ta có cảm giác như đang ở giữa lòng châu Âu.
