Con người dựa vào văn hóa bởi nó đem lại cho con người cảm giác an toàn, sự ổn định, sự hiểu biết, khả năng giải quyết trong những tình huống nhất định. Đó là lý do vì sao con người sợ sự thay đổi. Họ sợ hệ thống xã hội sẽ trở nên bất ổn, sự an toàn của họ sẽ không còn, họ sẽ không hiểu những quy trình mới và sẽ không biết cách làm thế nào để phản ứng với những tình huống mới.
