PBank đóng vai trò là ngân hàng phát hành, theo yêu cầu của Doanh nghiệp (người nhập khẩu), cam kết thanh toán một số tiền nhất định cho người hưởng lợi (người xuất khẩu) khi nhận được bộ chứng từ xuất trình phù hợp với qui định của Thư tín dụng (L/C). Ngoài việc mở L/C, TPBank còn thực hiện các dịch vụ: chấp nhận hối phiếu do người hưởng lợi kí phát, thanh toán L/C, tu chỉnh L/C, ký hậu vận đơn,, bảo lãnh nhận hàng...
