ngày 27-3 , công ty du lịch Cố Đô (Huế) đã khởi công xây dựng khu du lịch nghỉ mát Thuỷ Tiên tại Thiên An , phía Tây Huế . Công trình có vốn đầu tư 74 tỷ đồng , rộng 50 ha , gồm có công viên nước, vườn cổ tích , làng văn hoá , vườn hoa kiểng , hồ thể thao và xe lửa điện ... Công trình được thực hiện qua ba giai đoạn , phần thế giới nước , hồ thể thao và khu trung tâm làm việc quản lý , điều hành được thực hiện trước , theo dự kiến hoàn thành vào tháng 4-2002 , lúc đó sẽ thu nhận 220 lao động vào làm việc
