Họ làm rất nhiều việc: Làm đường giao thông nông thôn, dạy học, sửa nhà cho dân, nạo vét kênh mương, tuyên truyền pháp luật… Những chiến sỹ tình nguyện Mùa hè xanh luôn mang trong mình khẩu hiệu: “Đi dân nhớ, ở dân thương, làm dân tin”. Những bữa cơm, rau của “đại gia đình” đã gắn kết các anh em chiến sĩ với nhau nhiều hơn nữa. Cái không gian xa lạ, bỡ ngỡ ấy dần dần được xua tan không còn hiện hữu ở những ngày tiếp theo bởi sự thân mật, nhiệt tình, đoàn kết của các chiến sĩ với nhau. Hằng ngày, mặc dù những công việc diễn ra trước mắt thật sự vất vả, mệt nhọc nhưng những nụ cười vẫn nở trên môi của từng chiến sĩ tình nguyện. Có lẽ chỉ những ai đã và đang trải qua những ngày của chiến dịch mới hiểu được giá trị của niềm hạnh phúc được đi và được cống hiến, được cảm nhận, được yêu thương và được trưởng thành! Mỗi ngày, bản thân mỗi chiến sĩ trong các đội tình nguyện đều nhận thức được hạnh phúc tồn tại ngay trong từng khoảnh khắc mà mình đang sống. Có những niềm vui xen lẫn nỗi buồn. Có những điều rất đỗi bình thường lại chứa chan nhiều ý nghĩa. Có những thứ tưởng như đã khép lại nhưng nó lại bắt đầu mở ra...

Mùa chiến dịch chỉ diễn ra trong nửa tháng chưa đủ để nói lên điều gì, nhưng chắc hẳn trong mỗi suy nghĩ của các thế hệ chiến sĩ tình nguyện mùa hè xanh Trường Cao đẳng Cộng đồng Bình Thuận đã chất chứa nhiều kỷ niệm và nhiều bài học kinh nghiệm quý báu mà chúng ta không thể học được ở giảng đường, trong đó có bài học đoàn kết, bài học lắng nghe và chia sẻ.
