Giai đoạn từ năm 2012 đến năm 2015, chất lượng hoạt động quản trị rủi ro thanh khoản tốt nhưng chưa thực sự vững chắc, chưa hoàn toàn theo hướng hiện đại. Các chỉ số tài chính, chỉ số đánh giá trạng thái thanh khoản, khả năng sinh lời của BIDV theo chuẩn kế toán của Việt Nam thì tương đối phù hợp nhưng theo chuẩn mực kế toán của quốc tế thì còn thấp, chưa tương xứng với quy mô và tiềm năng của ngân hàng BIDV.
